Paul 'n' Lil is a comic originally inspired by Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes.  In the late 1990s,  there were two self-produced books of Paul 'n' Lil, which were sold only to family members.  The first-ever published Paul 'n' Lil strip  for the public was in a middle school newsletter, Central Middle School's The Ram Page.  Afterwards, the comics were on a hiatus for several years.  In September 2006, Paul 'n' Lil was revived in Northeastern University's The Northeastern News.  It was published on a weekly basis during the school year, from September through April.  Currently, it continues to be published weekly in each Thursday issue.  All past comics can be found in the archive section.

The drawings started as a hobby of Paul Cheung and Lily Ko, during their middle school years in the late 1990s.  Paul and Lily are cousins from Quincy, Massachusetts.  Paul graduated from Stonehill College in May 2007, and currently works for various radio stations under Entercom Boston.  Lily is expected to complete her undergrad education at Northeastern University in May 2008.
